Class 1: Intro To Algorithms 

In this online coding class, the live Coding Coach will introduce the concepts of algorithms, symbols, and sequential instructions to participants, by having them act as both programmers and "robots." Through this hands-on activity, participants will develop critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fun and collaborative environment.
 

Class 2: Sequential Algorithms I

In this online coding class, the live Coding Coach will teach participants how to develop sequential algorithms and use code blocks to make a digital object move straight, turn left, or turn right. Along the way, participants will sharpen their problem-solving skills, practice identifying and fixing bugs in programs, and translate movements into a series of commands.

Class 3: Intro To Debugging

In this online coding class, the live Coding Coach will deliberately use pre-written code that is filled with hidden errors in order to teach participants how to identify, modify, and debug the code to uncover the correct solution. Along the way, participants will learn to modify existing programs to solve errors, predict where a program may fail, and reflect on the debugging process as it correlates to their skill level.

Class 4: Sequential Algorithms II

In this online coding class, the live Coding Coach will further help participants develop their understanding of algorithms and debugging as well as hone problem-solving and critical thinking skills. They will order movement commands as sequential steps in a program and represent these algorithms as computer programs.
